The Asia-Pacific Journal of Accounting & Economics (APJAE) is an international forum intended for analytical and empirical archival and experimental research in economics of industrial organization, financial and product markets, and accounting information as well as interactions among organizations, markets, and accounting institutions. In general, APJAE is open-minded for a wide range of topics and methods. In particular, the editors encourage submissions in the following areas, but not limited to:

  • industrial organization and market structure
  • information flows and intermediation in the markets
  • standard setting and reporting quality,
  • disclosure incentives
  • strategic behaviors
  • economics of auditing, including audit quality and pricing
  • financial contracts
  • corporate governance, control, and external monitoring,
  • security market regulation
  • environment and sustainability
  • financial markets and institutions


APJAE encourages submission of research dealing with issues that are interesting and relevant to the Asia-Pacific region. The editors welcome submission of manuscripts with innovative ideas and dealing with contemporary and emerging issues. The editorial team is committed to an expedient review process.

The editorial team is dedicated to ensuring an efficient and meticulous review process. All manuscripts submitted undergo an initial assessment by the Editors. If deemed suitable for further consideration, they are subjected to peer review by independent and anonymous expert referees. The peer review process employed by APJAE is double-blind, ensuring anonymity for both the authors and the reviewers. Manuscript submission is conducted online through ScholarOne Manuscripts.
