2006 In honor of Professor Ronald Jones, this symposium was on International Trade and, for the first time, APJAE published a special issue featuring the papers presented in the symposium.
2005 It was held at the prestigious Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou on 7-8 January 2005. In addition to the corporate governance forum, there were three panelist presentations, concurrent paper sessions, and a research seminar.
2004 It was held at Mutiara Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 5-6 January 2004. It included a research forum, a A special session for "Malaysian Studies" , and a corporate governance forum.
2003 For the first time, the APJAE Symposium was held outside of Hong Kong. It took place at the Shanghai National Accounting Institute with the usual Corporate Governance Forum as well as a Research Forum discussing conservatism and variations in accounting measures in equity valuation models.
2002 It was held on 3-4 January 2002 with forums on the interplay between taxes and financial accounting research, on International Accounting Methodology, and on Corporate Governance.
2001 It was held on 4-5 January 2001 with a research forum and the Asia Forum on Corporate Governance, etc.
2000 It was held at City University of Hong Kong on 4-5 January 2000, attended by over 100 delegates, and focused on the theme of corporate governance.
